i heard it through the grapevine

As you can see, my hair is in the awkward stages of growing out. I really need my bangs trimmed! I've been wearing this bright lipstick lately- what do you think of it? I'm trying to look a little nicer, although I'm dressed like a hobo today!

Some news:
  • I've decided NOT to graduate this semester. I'm going to take another YEAR at the U of A and get my degree in film.
  • I still have no clue what I want to do when I do graduate.
  • I'm going to learn to crochet this weekend! I've tried many times before but have failed. It's strange because I love to knit!

(I have no neck in these pictures!)

I'm also dying to take Red Velvet Art's Art Journaling class, but I sadly don't have sixty dollars to spare. I might just try to make my own art journal route, and do it without the guiding of the amazing Rachel and Elsie!

Does anyone else have an art journal? Do you have pictures?

Please stop by my Formspring to chat!

  1. Good luck with learning to crochet! It's on my list of skills to develop over the next few months. I learned to make a chain, and I was lost from there. :) And yay for knitting! Are you on Ravelry?

    Take care!

I'm not on Ravelry! I'll look it up!

  3. Awesome! If you join Ravelry I am there as Rawbanana if you'd like to be buds.

    Happy crocheting/knitting!

  4. I've tried to learn to crochet on and off for years. My tiny little great-great-auntie crochets the most intricate lace doilies - it's one of her "old-world" skills that awes me, along with her traditional Czech cooking and her general awesome old person-ness.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "art journal." I've kept a sketch journal since middle school, where I draw my day or the day's feelings, etc., but I'm not sure if that's the sort of thing that you mean =)
